Founded in February 2021, Hoofprints in the Sand is an equine therapy facility that serves Veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Founder, Sarah Lustig, is a registered nurse (RN) who recognizes the power that horses hold in healing. HITS was created to fill the gaps in care, offering longer and more effective treatments to individuals on waiting lists or facing uncertainty.
